I sincerely welcome all of you to the Graduate School program for the Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH).

KENTECH opened in March 2022 after the enactment of the National Assembly Special Act, with the vision of a founding philosophy that contributes to the development of humanity, the nation, and the region through energy science and technology. It aims to present new horizons for future energy methods and climate change adaptation while aspiring to lead the global academia-industry research clusters for future energy research.

Our graduate school serves as a vital academic institution at KENTECH, with the core objective of nurturing research talents and entrepreneurs essential for addressing humanity's future energy challenges and leading the ecosystem of this industry. Specifically, we aim to cultivate global talents with competencies in various aspects such as, research in the fields of carbon neutrality and energy, convergence abilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and a global perspective. To achieve this, our graduate school offers a diverse range of meaningful programs. To achieve this goal, our graduate school has established five core areas and four interdisciplinary fields. These include energy materials & devices, hydrogen energy, grid modernization, energy AI, environmental & climate technology, all of which are pivotal in addressing carbon neutrality and future energy solutions. We have invited professors with the highest expertise and real-world experience in these fields and have created a globally renowned educational and research environment. To elevate our status to the highest level among engineering universities in the field of energy, we have prepared various educational and research exchange programs with internationally renowned universities and research institutions in the energy sector. We plan to continuously expand and enhance these initiatives in the future. In addition, through seamless collaboration with research centers, large-scale research facilities, and industry clusters established or underway at KENTECH, you will have access to a wealth of convergence education and research opportunities, as well as diverse industry-academia collaboration prospects.
